Founded in 2014 by Amy Rood Miller, Creative Music Lessons is an organization of private music instructors who are committed to the idea that music lessons should be something a student LOOKS FORWARD TO!
By combining an adaptive and interactive teaching style coupled with an emphasis on learning proper technique, Creative Music Lessons helps students grow their skills, achieve their musical goals, and makes music a fun and exciting experience.
Serving Westchester County, NY and Fairfield County, CT, we teach students of all ages and ability-levels from the very young to the young at heart! Whether you think of music as a hobby or are aspiring to a life on the stage, Creative Music Lessons strives to meet you where you are and helps to get you where you want to go! Music lessons can now be both fun AND productive!

What We Do
The beauty of our approach lies in its simplicity...
By teaching a multitude of musical styles and genres, we find a way to make lessons fun! Teachers will work with the students and/or parents to put together a REALISTIC EDUCATIONAL STRATEGY that will best address their needs and musical goals.
Beyond the development of basic technique and the use of student-preferred music, other activities include, but are not limited to… sight-reading, music theory concepts, song writing, audio and video recordings, musical games, and improvisation.
Foster Creativity
Lesson plans are geared towards sparking the creative fire within each individual. Utilizing student-preferred music and other inspiring activities, students will gain a more well-rounded appreciation for their instrument.
All Ages and Skill Levels
With our adaptive and customizable approach, we meet you wherever you are in your musical development. From those who have never touched an instrument, to those with more experience looking to sharpen their skills, we’re with you note by note!
Convenience
Teachers will travel to your home in Westchester County, NY and Fairfield County, CT including, but not limited to the towns of Chappaqua, Pleasantville, Armonk, Mount Kisco, Bedford, Katonah, Lewisboro, North Salem, Ridgefield, New Canaan, Darien, Wilton, Stamford, and Greenwich.
Encouraging Environment
While keeping their curriculum challenging, students will find themselves in a safe and encouraging environment throughout their lessons. By expressing themselves positively through music, they will build confidence in themselves and their abilities and self-esteem will soar!
